991a CAT Control

Wrote my own CAT control app for the 991a and wired up the audio so that I can both receive and transmit just using meeting software e.g. so imagine having a chat with your radio on zoom, google meet or skype and you've got the idea.

The motivation for all my remote operation projects is so I can sit with Wilma of a night in the lounge and operate a radio in the shack at the same time.

Ascom SE550 Remote Control

Integrating with an Ascom SE550 for another radio remote operation project.  Many thanks to John G4RDC for his support and inspiration on this project.

Learning and playing with micro-controllers.  Built my skills with some home related projects to bring together some of the things I am working on above e.g. remote CAT control and audio routing of amateur radios. So far I can remote control a relay to activate the PTT on an Ascom SE550  and send both transmit and receive audio between a computer and the radio over a bluetooth connection.  I am using a  Raspberry Pico microcontroller with two generic blue tooth transcievers, all integrated into the microphone socket on the Ascom.  I'd like to be able to take the project further one day so I can change channels and read the display frequency but that is a while off before I can work out how to get into that. All good fun though.

LoraWAN

LORA/Meshtastic shenighans with Heltec V3 kit - I have setup nodes on 868MHz and 433MHz. The plan is to write software to use the kit for signalling in a security project.
